Give More Life

Found a good blog post today. It begins with a quote from someone called Brennan Manning: “In every encounter we either give life or we drain it; there is no neutral exchange.“

    Get Manning's books. He's a gem! Great spiritual man - I've heard him preach too ... so gentle and Godly.

    Rev Elizabeth- I will check Manning out! Just looked on Wikipedia (as one does) and found out that it was Manning who said the following, which is said in the prelude of a wonderful song by one of my favourite Christian rock band (dc talk):

    "The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today are Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable."

    June - I've printed it out and stuck it up on a cupboard door in the kitchen and the whole family reads it.
